Photo Essay

Shanna Thomas a junior high school student from Philomath, OR. Sports are her favorite activities and she is currently playing basketball.
Tiffany Klopfenstein is a stay at home mother of four from Corvallis, OR. The tattoo on her left leg is a symbol for her Native American blood and the tattoo on her right leg (rose on the other side) is in remembrance of her nephew Bobby.

Holly Hanson a Procurement Technician from Albany, OR. She attend George Fox University and has finished her master's degree in Business and will walk with her class in June. Playing golf with her family is her favorite thing to do on her time off.

Week 6 Photojournalism

Tim Canon at South Side Suds Laundromat in south town Corvallis. He worked on houses until the economy went bad.
Now he gets up early in the morning for his laundry business making about $12 an hour. Although the job is tedious he is able to make some extra money by washing peoples clothes for a couple hours in the morning.
Fire Works Restaurant and Bar Located on 3rd street in south town Corvallis.
This is the only restaurant in south town that has a neon sign that can be seen from the side of the road.



Jordan Bowser comes to Willamette Park two to three times a week to enjoy the frisbee golf course.
He is 24 years old and a 3rd year graduate student at OSU for nuclear engineering.

Week 5 Photojournalism

Michael James Miller, lead singer in the local band Tuesday Nights. It was their first time in the Wild Rose recording studio on November 14th.



Muddy Creek Corn Maze opens every year in October on Saturdays and Sundays 11am - 5pm.
Weekday group adventures are welcome with advance notice.
The Davis Family created this Family Fun Adventure in 2003. 
There are a lot of fun features such as: corn maze, pumpkin patch, Moo Train, hayride, and much more!

 Families stand in line to get there Moo Train tickets and get admission into the corn maze.

Ethan Klopfenstein picked out his own pumpkin becuase he wants one that is different than all the others.
It took him a while but he got very excited to find this medium sized pumpkin that is both orange and green.

Week 4 Photojournalism

Ricky Arteaga is one of the Public Affairs Officers for the Siuslaw National Forest Supervisors Office in Corvallis. He is a 23 year old junior, dually enrolled at OSU and LBCC majoring in Wildland Fire and Forestry. For the past six years he has been working in the Fire Division with the Forest Service. This is Arteaga's first year working as a Public Affairs Officer with the Siuslaw National Forest. He plans to get back into the Fire Division, where he hopes to retire.

Kayla Newman has worked at the front desk for the Siuslaw National Forest Supervisors Office in Corvallis for three weeks. Six months ago she worked the front desk at the Reedsport Ranger District. She is attending O.S.U. to become a veterinarian and would like to continue her career with the Forest Service in Montana, working with the horses used for non-motorized trails.
